Upcoming Workshops

EPA will host virtual workshops beginning in fall 2024 to help community water systems (CWSs) serving over 3,300 people to prepare or review and revise, as appropriate, their risk and resilience assessments (RRAs) and emergency response plans (ERPs). These actions are required under Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) section 1433, which was amended by America's Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA) section 2013. Procedures to certify/recertify to EPA completion or updates to the RRA and ERP by established deadlines throughout 2025 and 2026 will also be presented. As upcoming workshops are scheduled, they will be listed below, as well as on EPA's Water Utility Resilience Events webpage.

 Past Workshops

Since 2019, EPA has hosted several workshops on SDWA section 1433. Recordings of past workshops are below for on-demand viewing, with the most recent workshops appearing at the top. EPA highly recommends that you attend its upcoming workshops for the latest information on RRAs, ERPs, and the 2025-2026 SDWA section 1433 cycle. However, the recordings below can be used as a resource if you are unable to attend an upcoming workshop since SDWA section 1433 has not changed and the requirements and resources described in the recordings are still relevant.
